Under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and its related statutes and regulations, no person or groups of persons shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability/handicap, or income status, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any and all programs, services, or activities administered by Walsh County, its recipients, subrecipients, or other contractors.
Walsh County is committed to eliminating unlawful discrimination in its county, state, federal, and federally assisted programs on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability/handicap, genetics, political opinion or affiliation, status with regard to marriage or public assistance, or participation in lawful activity off Walsh County’s premises during non-working hours which is not in direct conflict with the essential business-related interests of Walsh County. In addition, the Walsh County ensures that all beneficiaries and potential beneficiaries of these programs are offered an equal participation opportunity. The County also protects the civil rights of its employees and applicants for employment.
