Walsh County State’s Attorney’s office is seeking to hire a Victim Services Coordinator. The Victim Coordinator is the front-line support resource for victims of crime in Walsh County, working directly with these individuals throughout the entirety of the criminal proceedings and correctional process. Work involves communicating with victims, preparing documents and general correspondence, organizing and maintaining electronic and paper document files, crisis intervention and advocacy, and making referrals to other state and community services.
Applicants must be able to communicate effectively and with compassion, maintain confidentiality, prioritize importance of work, and meet deadlines in a timely manner. Operation of various software programs including Microsoft Excel and standard office equipment. Position includes grant writing and reporting; a keen eye for details is required.
Candidates must possess a minimum of two years college with emphasis in a criminal justice or related program, or at least 3 years of experience in a related field.
The county offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to health, retirement, sick, and vacation. Salary will depend on experience; the full range for this position is $3,936/month – $5,460/month.

Correctional Officers are the font line staff for the Walsh County Correctional Facility and are responsible for the safety and security of the facility, staff, and inmates. The position is under supervision of the Maintenance Technician II. Applicant is responsible for performing general labor-type duties, hand and power tool operation, semi-skilled tasks in the general cleaning, maintenance and minor repairs of the Courthouse Campus buildings and grounds.
