walsh county road Maintenance Technician II
The Walsh County Highway Department will be accepting applications until the position is filled, for a Maintenance Tech II, based out of the Walsh County Highway Department Shop 1, in Grafton, North Dakota. Walsh County reserves the right to under fill this position as an equipment operator.
The position is under supervision of the Bridge Foreman whom reports to the Highway Superintendent. Applicant is responsible for performing general labor-type duties, hand and power tool operation, and advanced level truck and equipment operation on various road and bridge projects. Ability to operate tandem truck/pup or semi-tractor/trailer, heavy equipment, tractors, skid steers. Winter months for snow removal will be in trucks or motor grader. Applicant must have a Class A driver’s license or ability to acquire one and have background knowledge of the general maintenance of trucks.
Walsh County Highway Department employees are subject to random drug and alcohol screens. Successful applicant must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.

Walsh County reserves the right to under fill this position as an equipment operator.
The position reports to the Highway Superintendent. Applicant is responsible for performing general labor-type duties, hand and power tool operation, and advanced level truck and equipment operation on various asphalt preservation projects. Ability to operate tandem truck/pup or semi-tractor/trailer, heavy equipment, tractors, skid steers. Winter months for snow removal will be in trucks or motor grader. Applicant must have a Class A driver’s license or ability to acquire one and have background knowledge of the general maintenance of trucks.

Job Summary: As a Correctional Officer you will oversee the security, control and conduct of inmates during your work shift at the correctional center to ensure the Walsh County Correctional Facility is operating in a peaceful manner.
Correctional Officers are the font line staff for the Walsh County Correctional Facility and are responsible for the safety and security of the facility, staff, and inmates. You will be expected to follow the policies and procedures of the facility to include holding inmates accountable to established rules and regulations.
